Top 3

Ranked in order, the top three best types of ice cream are Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cookies& Cream, and Bubble Gum.
Beginning with the best, Chocolate Peanut Butter is absolutely fantastic. The delectable combination of rich chocolate and real peanut butter is second to none. The balance between how smooth the ice cream is and the frozen hard peanut butter provides a wonderful balance. The only drawback to this ice cream would be if you're allergic to peanuts. Other than that, it is perfect.
The second best ice cream flavor in my opinion is Cookies & Cream. It is one that is hard not to like. With every lick this flavor will take you back to dunking your Oreos in a glass of milk. With chunks of chocolate cookies in a creamy vanilla ice cream, this flavor fails to disappoint its lickers.
Closely trailing behind but appetizing nonetheless is a childhood favorite, Bubble Gum ice cream. This flavor is both, a cavity producer and a childhood favorite. Something about the little pieces of bubble gum in it is always rewarding. And having bright blue ice cream with little bits of rainbow gum in it is both pleasant to taste buds and the eyes. Although it may not be everyone's classic favorite but for those who are willing to be a kid again, it is really yummy.

Novel Synthesis.

Each decision a person makes will have an affect on their lives. The poem "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost has a lot in common with a theme that is depicted in the novel Slumdog Millionaire by Vikas Swarup. "The Road Not Taken" demonstrates the importance of pushing past the obvious and taking the road "less traveled by" and how whichever "road" one might choose will affect things down the line. In a brief summary, the poem describes there being two roads, one that looks as if it's used quite frequently, and the other as if it's never been taken. Just because the one looks misused and forgotten the speaker chooses to take it. The speaker wanted "to [take] the other, as just as fair". Knowing both roads "equally lay" but not knowing exactly where the one he is taking will end up, the narrator chooses the more vague road. In this instance, the narrator seems proud of the decision made and states that it made "all the difference". This relates to Slumdog Millionaire in a number of ways. Slumdog Millionaire, briefly, is about a teenager who wins a game show, but is accused of fraud because the producers of the show both don't have the money to actually reward him and cannot be convinced that an uneducated "dumb orphan boy" could possibly know the trivial answers. In hopes to have the charges dropped, Ram Mohammad Thomas explains to his defense lawyer story, by story how he knew the answers by experience. This relates to "The Road Not Taken" in a few ways. Firstly, it shows that every decision made ultimately affects another thing in your life. If Ram had not had some of these experiences, he would not have known the answer. Likewise, if the speaker in the poem had taken the other road, it would have been a completely different experience. It also touches on the fact that each "road" can be a different experience to each person. Just because the speaker in the poem was ultimately pleased with the decision made it does not mean that it would be right for everyone. In both pieces the main characters choose to look past the obvious and recognize that most things are not what they seem like at first glance. When the speaker in the poem first looks down at each road, he is slightly apprehensive as to which one to take. One looks as if its "grassy and [wants] wear", and the other is completely different. To connect with Slumdog Millionaire he is forced to make choices that are possibly more drastic and dangerous at times but ultimately both examples show that decision have a tendency to linger onto future decisions. If he had not had all of these life experiences, he wouldn't have known the answers to the questions. Experiences have a domino effect and shape who we turn out to be. Whether its fate or choice, each event helps mold the next.

We are all Canucks. Off to a non-defeated second round of the '09 playoff season the team has never been sharper. They defeated the St.Louis Blues in the first round with ease. Robbing them of all hope to advance. This round has started off no different, with the return of Sami Salo who lit up the board in last nights game against the Chicago Blackhawks. This series is off to a great start. But, the Canucks are no rookies to starting off strong and crumbling when it matters. Why is this year different? Many people who to support this team would point towards the God-like goaltender Roberto Luongo who has only given away seven goals in this playoff season, "he was here, he was there, he was everywhere and when he's playing as well as he is right now, arguably the best he's performed in his nine-year career, it's a wonder anything eludes him" stated nhl.com. Luckily this demi-god has a stacked blue line that can help him out if by off chance he should fumble Kevin Bieksa, Sami Salo, Shane O'Brien, Mattias Ohlund and Willie Mitchell are the soldiers that protect their king when intruders approach. Not to mention the offense that attacks and conquers. Old wives tales claim that twins have special powers and the Sedins do nothing but solidify that. It is both entertaining and amazing to watch how they communicate ont the ice, ending the regular season with 82 points each. Now although this team does not have the best track record for the playoff season and have never won a Stanley Cup, who's to say that this isn't the year? They are an under-appreciated team which will hopefully recruit more to an international with their defeats this playoff season. Their playoff drought has clearly begun to end. This could be the year.

My Superpower

Teleportation- the ability to move from one place to another instantaneously. How cool would that be? If I could have any superpower, the ability to teleport would be my preferred skill. If I were a super hero, I would most definitely want this skill. I could be helping someone one minute, then be millions of miles away the next. This would be particularily useful with the different alias' that I might have. It would eliminate people's suspicions because by the time someone began to become skeptical, I could have already constructed a plausible alibi. As well as confusing villians, one instant i could be right beside it, and the next in a completely different setting. The possibilities could be endless! Although super-human strength, invisibility, freezing things, blowing fire, flying, shooting spider webs, etc, would all be awesome, I feel that the ability to teleport stands above all.
